Color Inkjet Printers Review
In our website you can find every source of color inkjet printers and accessories suppliers that you need.
Color inkjet printers have become the most popular computer printers for the general consume, thanks to their low cost and
high quality of printing, as well as their capability to print in almost any size of paper (some are also capable to print
over fabric and other kind of materials).
Basically, color inkjet printers are classified according to the technology adopted: thermal, piezoelectric or
continuous.
Thermal Color Inkjet Printers are the most common inkjet printers available in the consumer market. They use cartridges
with a series of tiny electrically heated chambers who produce steam ink bubbles as pulses of current run the heating
elements. As a result, a droplet of ink is thrown onto the paper.
Instead of heating elements, piezoelectric color inkjet printers use ink-filled chambers which contain some piezoelectric
material behind each nozzle. When a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric piece this starts to vibrate. Changes in shape
and size caused by vibrations generate pressure pulses in the ink chamber forcing droplets from the nozzle. This
technology allows using a wider variety of inks but print heads are more expensive. It is used basically for industrial
and commercial inkjet printers.
Continuous inkjet technology is used basically for marking and coding products and packages. Liquid ink is directed from the
reservoir to a microscopic nozzle creating a continuous stream of ink droplets. It requires active solvent regulation. This
is the oldest technology applied in inkjet printing and has practically no application in consumer or commercial color
inkjet printers.
Color inkjet printers advantages:
Compared to previous consumer-oriented color printers (i.e. dot matrix printers), inkjet printers are quieter and can print
finer so that many photographic-quality color inkjet printers are now widely available. Compared to more expensive
technologies, they don’t need to worm up and prints have a lower cost per page.
Color inkjet printers disadvantages:
Ink cartridges are often expensive. Plus, most manufacturers embed an “intelligent” microchip in the cartridges which prevents
from printing when it claims the cartridge is “empty”, as an attempt to avoid cartridge refill. As a result, they print up to
30% less then without the chip. The lifetime of aqueous based ink prints is quite limited.
Brother MFC-490CW Color Inkjet Wireless
All-in-One Printer:
If you are looking for an inexpensive wireless multifunction device that it is easy to setup, good featured, compact, multifunction
and quite, this is the perfect deal for you. It is also energy star rated and although puts itself to sleep after a non-use period,
its out of sleep startup is very fast when you send a document to print. The print speed seems to be slower than the manual claims,
however it is still quite fast for this kind of product. Scanning is very simple and easy, one-button-touch and you have a PDF
dropped into your hard drive. OCR quality is also amazing, though the program is very easy to use. Fax is also very easy to set up
and use. Last but not least, it is a true CMYK printer, that is, it has a separate ink cartridge for each color, so you only have to
replace the cartridge that is empty.

disc software. Its six-cartridge printing system produces magazine quality prints and pictures, both in optical media and in photo
paper. Printing is also very fast. And you can have all this for a great price.
Epson Stylus NX515 WiFi Color Inkjet
All-in-One Printer:
Though it is an all-in-one, this color inkjet printer is actually relatively small and lightweight. A quick start guide makes its
installation and set up really simple. USB cable is not included (as for most printers), but you can easily have it for a couple of
dollars. The print speed is really fast: most printers won’t print faster in draft mode than this one does in its standard one, which
provides excellent printing quality. It also has a very easy to read and very easy to navigate control panel. This printer is
perfect for those people who want a printer capable to scan and copy while producing excellent prints.
